Description
The ARTAS iX Robotic Hair Restoration System is the world’s first intelligent hair transplant platform to utilize state of the art robotic and artificial intelligence technology.
This robotic hair transplant machine offers precise, efficient, and repeatable harvesting with simultaneous recipient site making and implantation functionalities in a single, compact platform. The advanced technology behind the ARTAS iX machine continuously enhances both physician and patient experience and satisfaction,
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
The ARTAS iX Robotic Hair Restoration System restoration platform includes an advanced multi-camera stereoscopic vision system with 44-micron resolution. This system, along with the device’s seven-axis robot arm, enables physicians to deliver automated procedures with the greatest accuracy. The ARTAS® robotic hair transplant machine is able to intelligently analyze and select appropriate grafts from the donor area without the risk of linear scarring. The ARTAS iX™ machine also accurately identifies and develops optimal recipient sites while simultaneously implanting each harvested graft. By protecting the patient’s existing terminal hair, the ARTAS® robotic hair transplant system works to maintain a more natural appearance in both the donor site and the recipient area.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INTEGRATION
Advanced AI consistently analyzes, monitors and tracks each hair follicle’s characteristics–position, angle, size, and orientation–and adjusts for patient movement
AI-optimized harvesting, intelligent graft analysis and randomized selection from donor area ensures high-quality grafts and natural-looking results
Machine learning recognizes and digitally maps past, current and future grafts, and learns new patterns to deliver continuous improvement
HIGH DEFINITION MULTI-CAMERA STEREOSCOPIC VISION SYSTEM
– With 44-micron resolution, the ARTAS iX™ system accurately visualizes and analyzes each follicular unit, while repeatedly recognizing and identifying key features at the rate of 60 times per second
– Image-guided robotic alignment technology accurately and precisely harvests each follicular unit at the optimal angle
STATE-OF-THE-ART MEDICAL GRADE HARDWARE
– The 7-axis KUKA robotic arm delivers high dexterity and efficient movement with 0.1mm repeatability
– Proprietary Ultra Punch with multi-faceted tip and controlled variable coring speed algorithm efficiently dissects with less potential trauma to follicular structure and yields robust grafts
– Compact and streamlined ergonomic design minimizes the footprint and facilitates clinical efficiency
TOUCHSCREEN USER INTERFACE AND ARTAS HAIR STUDIO
– Intuitive, graphics-based user interface with IoT capabilities enhances physician collaboration with technology
– 3D Pre-Operative Planning enables physicians to customize and prescribe the recipient area design
– Proprietary, patented, and FDA-cleared system.
The ARTAS® Robotic Hair Restoration System is the first and only hair restoration system in the world combining robotic and artificial intelligence technology designed to assist surgeons through the most significant and tedious stages of the hair restoration process. It provides the most advanced and comprehensive offering for precise, efficient, and repeatable hair restoration and automates the most significant aspects of hair transplantation procedures: graft harvesting, recipient site making, and with ARTAS iX, implantation.
The ARTAS iX Robotic Hair Restoration System provides the only solution utilizing machine-based vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence to offer harvesting and implantation functionality in one compact platform. ARTAS iX is equipped with a 3D-camera stereoscopic vision system with improved 44-micron resolution and a 7-axis robot arm to deliver unmatched procedural analysis, precision, repeatability, and clinical workflow efficiency.
Restoration Robotics, Inc. is a medical device company developing and commercializing the ARTAS® and ARTAS iX™ Robotic Hair Restoration Systems. The ARTAS iX Robotic Hair Restoration System is the first and only physician-assisted system to dissect and assist in the harvesting of follicular units directly from the scalp, create recipient implant sites using proprietary algorithms and implant the hair follicles into the designated sites. The Company has unique expertise in machine vision, image guidance, visual servoing and robotics, as well as developing intuitive interfaces to manage these technologies.
